Detached house with terraces and generous extra space, just a few minutes from the historic centre of Massa Marittima
Only about 5 minutes from the historic centre of Massa Marittima, this well-kept, independent house stands in a pleasant residential location. It offers about 130 m² of living space on a plot of about 7,000 m², generous outdoor areas and additional utility and storage space in the partly extensive basement.
The house is turnkey and ready to use. The living space is divided into four rooms in total, including two bedrooms, generous living areas and two bathrooms. A fitted kitchen is included.
A fireplace and wood and pellet stoves create a particularly cosy atmosphere. Hot water is supported by a solar system, a practical and sustainable addition to the technical equipment of the house.
The various terraces and covered outdoor areas are especially lovely, with plenty of room for a dining table, seating and relaxing hours outdoors. Here you can enjoy Mediterranean life in Tuscany from breakfast to dinner.
The partly generous basement provides lots of extra storage for supplies, garden tools, bicycles and other belongings.
A further advantage is the two separate entrances and two gated driveways onto the plot. There is also parking space for vehicles on the plot.
The property is in an attractive location near Massa Marittima, one of the most beautiful historic towns in the Tuscan Maremma. It stands on a plot of about 7,000 m² and combines plenty of private outdoor space with closeness to the town. The historic centre of Massa Marittima is only about 5 minutes away by car.
Massa Marittima delights with its superbly preserved medieval old town. At its heart is Piazza Garibaldi with the imposing cathedral of San Cerbone. Also worth seeing are the Torre del Candeliere, the Cassero Senese, the historic town walls and the narrow lanes of the old town. Restaurants, cafés, shops and everyday services are all in town.
The surroundings are part of the Colline Metallifere, with wooded hills, Mediterranean vegetation, vineyards and olive groves. Hiking and cycling paths and many small villages invite you to discover the unspoilt Maremma.
Another advantage is that the sea is only 12 minutes away. The beaches of the Gulf of Follonica and near Scarlino are easy to reach by car, and the popular coastal towns of Punta Ala and Castiglione della Pescaia make good day trips.
Other sights in the area include Lago dell'Accesa, the medieval villages of Gavorrano, Montieri, Roccatederighi and Montemassi, and the geothermal landscape near Monterotondo Marittimo.
A special excursion is the famous Abbey of San Galgano with the nearby hermitage of Montesiepi and its well-known 'sword in the stone'.
Siena and Volterra can also be reached for day trips. Towards the coast, the Etruscan sites of Populonia and the Bay of Baratti are well worth a visit.
The location thus combines nature, historic Tuscany and the sea in a special way. Being close to Massa Marittima, the property is suitable both as a permanent home and as a holiday or second home.
