• This historic building is a round structure with walls 1.50 m thick. The origins of this former brick kiln date back to the Etruscans, approximately 2,500 years ago. The Fornace (=blast furnace) was rebuilt and used during the Middle Ages, then abandoned, and put back into use from 1870 to 1939, until the clay deposits were exhausted.

The property is located in the quiet area of Bivio di Ravi, a small, rural hamlet in the municipality of Gavorrano, nestled in the rolling hills of the Colline Metallifere in southern Tuscany. This region is known for its particularly unspoiled and authentic landscape, far from mass tourism, and is renowned for its sweeping views, dense forests, olive groves, and the typical Mediterranean scrub.
